Daksh was having a quarrel with his father .
Daksh “ Dad , I need the latest gaming console , all my friends have it “
Father “ Just wait for some days son . Let your exams pass and you can have whatever you want “
Daksh “ I don’t want your hollow promises , I need it now “
Father “ I am not refusing , just asking to wait for a few days . That’s it “
Daksh said with an annoyance in his voice “ You never get me anything . I am going to my friend’s house“.He left the house banging the door .
There was disgust as well as helplessness all over the face of father at his son’s peevish behavior .

Daksh , still on his way to his friend’s house , saw a child crying aloud sitting on the pavement across the street .The child was around five or six years of age . Daksh crossed the street , reached to the boy and asked “ why are you crying “.
Poor boy replied with heavy tears rolling down his eyes “ we have not eaten from two days . We are very hungry “- He said it while pointing at his younger sister sitting besides him .
She looked weak but she was not crying . Instead , she raised her hand innocently when daksh looked towards her .
Daksh took some money out of his pocket , went to a nearby shop and brought some food for them .
They were immensely happy as he handled them the paper plate having the food served upon it . He could see that all their pain , suffering , tears vanished at least for a while , just because of his small gesture . His heart filled with an unfathomable pleasure as he saw them eating .
He decided to return back to his home . So many thoughts were churning within his mind . But now he could see a light engrossing his ' up-till-now-dark ' mind . He has learned a very meaningful lesson today .

His father was surprised to see him back early . He didn’t ask him the reason and said with a pleasant mood “ Lets go and get your thing son . I can’t see you sad “
Daksh extended his arms, hugged his father and whispered into his ears “ I don’t need any of it now . There are some bigger things to do “. Looking into father’s eyes , he said again “ I am sorry for my earlier behavior dad “ .After apologizing , he departed to his study room .
His father was astonished for some moments but then a smile appeared on his face .
